Highlands Texas Hold’em Rounders
Learn the Game. Improve Your Skills. Prepare for Live Casino Poker.
Highlands Texas Hold’em Rounders is a Facebook group for people in Highlands County and surrounding areas who want to become better Texas Hold’em players to prepare for casino cash-table play. My own goal is to develop the skills and experience needed to eventually play confidently at casino cash tables, and I created this group for others who want to work toward the same goal.
You do not need to be an experienced player to join this group – only the desire to master the game.
The group is designed for beginners and developing players who want to learn the game, practice regularly, improve their decision-making, and eventually feel confident sitting down at a live casino cash table.
What We’re About
We are looking for players who want to take the game seriously enough to improve, while still keeping the atmosphere friendly and enjoyable.
Members can use the group to:
- Meet other local Texas Hold’em players
- Organize friendly practice games
- Learn the rules and fundamentals
- Improve pre-flop, flop, turn, and river decisions
- Discuss interesting hands and strategy
- Learn position, betting, pot odds, and table etiquette
- Gain experience playing complete hands in a live setting
- Prepare for casino cash-table play
Practice Before You Risk Real Money
The games organized through this group are strictly for social practice and learning. To keep things simple and clearly separate from gambling, no money or anything of value is wagered.
There are:
- No cash games
- No buy-ins
- No entry fees
- No monetary prizes
- No wagering of anything of value
Practice chips have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash or prizes.
The goal is simple: get better at the game before putting real money on the table at a licensed casino or poker room.
Who This Group Is For
You may be a complete beginner who wants to learn Texas Hold’em from the ground up.
You may already know how to play but want more live-table experience.
Or you may have a specific goal: to develop your skills enough to eventually sit down at a casino cash table and play with confidence.
If that sounds like you, this group was created for you.

Learn. Practice. Improve.
Texas Hold’em rewards experience, discipline, patience, and better decision-making.
The more hands you play and analyze, the more comfortable you become recognizing situations and making decisions at the table.
Highlands Texas Hold’em Rounders gives local players a place to practice those skills without risking money while learning.
